Curtain is a piece of cloth used for decorating your home by simply hanging on the windows, doors, walls with the help of hooks and rods. These curtains blocks light, dust, sounds and air coming from outside into the inside of your house. It also provides privacy. The regulation of the light, temperature inside the house depends on the fabric type of the curtain you chooses. The common materials used to make curtains is silk, cotton, wool, linen, synthetics etc,.

Curtains which are made of silk are very expensive because it provides luxurious and classy appearance that no other fabrics gives you. These curtains have the tendency to rot when it is exposed to sunlight.

Curtains made of cotton are inexpensive and versatile fabric. This fabric is suitable for weaving different styles of curtains such as from plainer looks to classy and sophisticated looks. This fabric is best suitable for all kinds of rooms. These curtains are easy to maintain.

Woolen fabrics are also best suitable for curtains. There are many types of wools are there. The price of these woolen curtains depends on the quality of the wool. These curtains also looks good whenever you hang on the wall. The main disadvantage is that it absorbs moisture and is not suitable for humid areas.

Linen curtains are efficient and cheaper than the silk and wool curtains. These curtains can be suitable to hang at every place in your home. There are many styles available in this linen curtains because linen can be woven into both light and heavy weaves. It is easy to maintain but whenever you wash be careful that there is a chance of wrinkling.

Synthetic curtains such as nylon and polyester are excellent choices for decorating homes because they are easy to maintain and do not absorb much moisture. Many people prefer for these curtains because of the toughness and great looks of the fabric.

Know About Eco – Friendly Organic Pajamas

Organic pajamas are nothing but the pajamas made out of natural fibre which is harvested using natural means. No pesticide, insecticide, or genetically modified seed will be used for growing these kind of crops which are used in the manufacturing of organic clothes. The two basic organic fibres used in making these clothing are the cotton and silk.

Organic cotton is used for making different nightwear. Organic cotton is used to make pajamas, pants, shorts, and sleep shirts. They are also used in the manufacturing of different bath robes, slippers and various night suits. Among all eco friendly fabrics, organic pajamas are the best and are available for both adults and children.

Some fabrics made of silk are also used in making these pajamas. This silk is also natural which is collected from the silk worms, which spin thread and then harvested and woven together. Some night gowns and lounging robes are also made using this natural silk.

Even though the fabric made of natural fibres is organic in nature, the clothing or the nightwear is called organic only when the further treatments for the fabric are natural unlike the artificial color dyes and prints. Sometimes the clothes with the organic material will be treated with chemical dyes and metals. In these cases they will never become organic. So, you need to check it before buying.

Coming to the advantages of organic pajamas they are more softer and natural when compared to ordinary ones. They weigh lighter and are typically loose. The fabric does not cause any irritation to the skin. Hence they are comfortable to wear not only at nights but also at any point of time. Important Tips for Storing Winter Clothes

Normally seasonal clothing like the winter clothing is used only for short periods and for the majority of time they should be stored until arrival of winter. Following are some of the simple steps to protect and store the clothes in the same condition:
  • Clean the winter clothing before storing. Laundering also helps to protect the clothes form the insects.
  • Store the winter clothing in a good sized closet which is well ventilated, away from drafts and vast temperature changes, to hold the winter clothing. Suit cases lined with acid free tissue can also be used to store the winter clothing.
  • Sweaters or other knit items should not be hanged because they may become misshapen and are not likely to regain their original shape. Sweaters and casual clothing can be loosely folded and placed into airtight containers.
  • It is better to store the clothing according to the categories like shirts, coats, skirts, etc.
  • It is good to wrap the delicate or silk clothing in cotton sheet or pillowcase before being storing these clothes in an airtight container.
  • Do not fold the clothes, instead roll them to keep them free from wrinkles and creases.
  • Store the clothes in a container in which air is circulated freely because fabric should be able to breathe.
  • The storage area for the winter clothes should be clean, cool, dark and dry, as a dark place will prevent the clothing from fading and helps in keeping it cool.
  • Hang items like pants or skirts, hang them from the waistband.
  • Addition of natural moth sachets to hangers and container especially those containing wool and silk articles protects the clothing from insects.

Since winter clothing are used occasionally, they require very good storage methods.
