Drug Related Crime

In multiple ways drugs are related to crime, directly. It is a crime to possess, use, distribute or manufacture the drugs which may be heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and marijuana and etc. drug effects the users' behavior by generating violence and other illegal activities, so in this way drugs also are related to crime.

Drug use is a crime which is one of the most obvious facts related to drug. Usage of any type of drug is a crime. Illegal drugs such as marijuana, Ecstasy, LSD, heroin, cocaine, etc.. With out prescription, taking prescription drugs is also illegal. Drug criminal penalties change from one state to another.


Laws have also been passed making drug possession illegal to limit the amount of drugs and drug related expenditures in society. Though a person is not using drugs, if caught with even a little amount of drugs, he may face a harsh criminal punishment with lengthy imprisonment for several years and also fines.


Drugs trafficking is another types of drugs. Selling and buying or transporting drugs are involved by the trafficking with the intent of selling them. Though it depends on the situation, drug trafficking is both a federal crime and a state crime. It is a federal when some one tries to sell the drugs between states.


The laws are extremely intolerant of drug possession, trafficking and use for the most part. Severe criminal penalties will ensure if any one is participating in any of these drug related activities. Prescription medication drugs with out prescription are also covered by these laws.
