Know How to Make the Best Use of SMS Advertising

Many companies are using SMS advertising in their advertising strategy. But only few companies are getting good results from SMS advertising. This is because, those businesses are using SMS advertising as tool to reach customer, but not in an effective manner.

There are few thing to be considered to get more results from SMS advertising. They are

1. Respect the customer
While sending the SMS ad to the customer, it is important to wish them in a respectful manner. Many companies do not mention words such as Hello, Sir/Madam, etc, which give a positive impression to the one reading the SMS. Without this a SMS ad can give bad impression to the customer towards the business. If you give respect to them, they will feel happy to read your SMS ad.

2. Send SMS to the target customer
Many companies while using SMS advertising, send ads to each and every person, irrespective of the fact that the product benefits the customer or not. For example, consider a financial institution which offers pension plan to the people. In order to advertise its business, ti should send its ads through SMS to employees. But if the institution sends the ad to students then it is of no use, as the business ad is not reaching the right customer. Therefore, by sending the ad to the employees, there will be a chance to get an customer. Such ad benefits the employee and the business also.

3. Keep it simple
Keep the SMS ad in simple and understandable language, so that the customer can understand what you are exactly telling to them. A SMS has 160 character space, so that make sure your message is clear. If the customer understand your SMS ad, then he/she will be respond according to his need.

4. Send the ad in a right time
While you are sending SMS ad to the customer, just consider the time. Mostly people are busy in the early mornings and in the evenings. And if you send the ads during nights, at those times they feel inconvenient to read the message. They may also get bad impression on your business, because you are disturbing them.

5. Provide the unsubscribe option
If you are sending many SMS continuously, it disturbs their work. If you provide the unsubscribe option and your business contact number, they consider that you are doing good business. If they do not want to receive messages, they can unsubscribe or if they want any information, they will contact you later.

6. Test your message
Before sending it to the customer, test your SMS by sending it to your mobile. Whether it is reviving in a proper way or not. All the above ways make an SMS advertising very effective. Therefore, by implementing above ways one can improve their business greatly.
